About the role
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for designing and developing new electrical systems for various applications. The role involves researching systems ideas and drawing up plans for these systems, using computer-aided software.
You will be responsible for developing system specifications and layouts, testing, and adjusting as needed throughout the design process. In addition, you will also provide support throughout the manufacturing of the electrical systems you have designed.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and implementing strategies for improving safety performance by developing and implementing WHS policies, plans, programs, and systems to meet client objectives
  • Managing client safety management systems including policies, procedures, manuals and practices, and electronic reporting platforms
  • Effectively managing client site visits
  • Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment
  • Collaborating and liaising with the team and key stakeholders to discuss existing or potential engineering products and/or projects
Essentially you:
  • Hold a diploma or degree qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Will hold an associate degree in drafting or CAD or have demonstrated relevant experience
  • Hold an Electrical & Instrumentation certificate
  • Will have demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Have a working knowledge of electrical circuitry and design, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to apply national and local electrical codes to project work
  • Be able to demonstrate site audit experience and the ability to analyse information
