ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting into the Managing Director, this position will provide leadership and general management to the Divisional Managers and construction teams for Robson Civil Projects.
The primary focus of this key leadership position includes assisting the business in achieving the safety, technical and commercial objectives as defined in the strategic business plan.
You will also provide a mentor/ coach style of leadership to the group ensuring that cultural and commercial expectations are maintained and achieved.
  
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Demonstrate a proactive commitment to upholding work health and safety as a core business value.
  • Mentor and support the Divisional Managers to achieve greater onsite efficiencies to improve project margins.
  • Implement long and short-term business objectives, including customer relationship management plans in conjunction with the sales team.Manage and coordinate with the estimating team and the Divisional Managers to ensure that the forward order book is in line with the business strategy, ensuring a diversified portfolio of projects are being tendered for and converted
  • Maintain strong partnerships with all divisions to plan, estimate and deliver on projects within defined risk, capability, and business objectives.
  • Ensure project safety, technical and commercial objectives and planned and delivered.
  • Develop and mentor project management teams in relation to methodology and production efficiencies for projects.
  • Ensure project reporting is provided on a timely basis, detailing performance and financial variations.
  • Maintain compliance and ensure procedures are consistent and complementary to Board approved policies.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
  • 10 years’ experience within a leadership capacity across the construction sector.
  • Tertiary level engineering qualifications coupled with an MBA (preferred) or equivalent.
  • Experience managing site works on projects $15M plus.
  • Leading safety management practises with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proven leader, with the ability to bring safety, leadership, strategy, relationship management, communication, resilience, and delivery all together.
