Our client is a well-regarded organisation who are a technology leader in Newcastle. They have built a highly successful product and boast a collaborative and progressive team culture with inspirational leaders at the helm. 

They are now seeking a Payroll & Accounts Officer to join their team for a 12-month maternity leave contract. Ideally they are wanting someone available for full-time hours but will be flexible and consider someone 3-4 days a week. An immediate start, or minimal notice is required.

You’ll be responsible for:
  • Preparing and processing the payroll for approximately 100 staff
  • Liaising with employees regarding payroll enquiries
  • Assisting with processing accounts payable and receivable
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations
  • Supporting the wider finance team
Essentially you will have the following:
  • Previous experience in processing a medium sized Payroll
  • Great communication both verbal and written  
  • An enthusiastic and positive demeanour with a willingness to learn
  • High attention to detail and able to pick up on errors  
  • Excellent time management skills
