Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) is a major national organisation responsible for managing rail infrastructure maintenance, capital upgrades and the movement of trains across Australia.
Across five states, ARTC manage and maintain an 8,500km rail network.

As Procurement Contracts & Support Specialist you will be a key member of a professional team responsible for the optimisation of tendering and contracts management.

The role... 
  • Optimise tendering and contracting solution outcomes provided to business units for sourcing events in accordance with the Procurement Framework.
  • Coordinate procurement strategies, risk management plans, tender evaluation plans, tender documentation, commercial evaluations, negotiation plans and contract approval to award documentation including managing the internal review, endorsement, and approvals process.
  • Obtain appropriate authorisation from the delegated authority for all contracts
  • Provide assistance and direction to internal customers to ensure compliance with contractual procedures.
  • Ensure probity, fairness and transparency in all contractual decisions and provide advice to key customers to assist them in their contractual requirements.
  • Engage with suppliers in a professional manner during the procurement process
  • Manage the finalisation and execution of contracts resulting sourcing exercises.

You need to balance the tension between the requirements of moving tenders forward, whilst ensuring strong governance. Your respect for proper process is at the fore, understanding that process is just as important as the outcome. You will have experience leading significant tenders and coordinating all requirements throughout the process. Your will have strong time management and demonstrated team membership skills. 

  • Commercial contract experience ideally within heavy industry background.
  • Demonstrable experience in major tender processes and a good understanding of the probity and ethics of tendering. 
  • Significant experience with purchasing, contracts or finance systems in a large company and a good knowledge of the relevant process flows. 
  • Experience collaborating with a diverse ranger of stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Tertiary qualifications in supply, procurement, contracts or similar.
