Project Manager on contractual basis to lead a team and delivering on multiple projects in Newcastle

We are currently recruiting an IT Project Manager on a contractual basis to lead a team and delivering on multiple projects including a financial system upgrade

You will take responsibility for these projects and ensuring that a professional approach underpins delivery and is on schedule to agreed quality standards and within budget.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of assigned projects, from initiation to closure, ensuring project scope, timeline, and budget adherence.
  •  Identify variances from the plan, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure project success.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Utilise ERP/CRM/IT systems expertise to assess project requirements, recommend solutions, and oversee the implementation and integration of relevant systems.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project risks and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with legal agreements, contracts, and regulatory requirements related to assigned projects.

Successful Candidate:

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects on time and within budget
  • Strong understanding of ERP/CRM/IT systems and their integration into business processes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Experience in contract negotiation, vendor management, and legal compliance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage project risks and issues
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Expertise in agile methodologies such as Scrum, utilising platforms like Jira to enhance project efficiency and collaboration
