Nail These 3 Interview Tips to Land the Job You Want

Congratulations, you have a job interview!

You’ve made it past the first exciting stage of the recruitment process. All that stands between you and that job you want is the interview. And you’ve got to knock it out of the park!

1. Be prepared so you bring your A-game.

As the saying goes, “if you fail to plan, you plan to fail”.

There is a lot you can do prior to your interview to increase your chance of success.

Firstly, your Recruitment Consultant will be able to give you an insider’s perspective into the job and company. They already have a good relationship with the hiring manager and are knowledgeable about the role.

2. Get to know the people sitting across from you.

To present yourself at your best, note down some questions beforehand that are position and organisation based. This is not the time to ask about salary or additional annual leave entitlements!

Great questions can be technical, such as the software or programs used.

Other good questions to ask are why was the role created? Is it a new position or replacement? Are there opportunities for career growth?
