Verve Partners is pleased to welcome Lotte Baker to the team. Lotte joins the team as Recruitment Manager, boasting an impressive work history spanning Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.
Lotte, originally from the UK, joins Verve Partners with over 20 years of recruitment experience. Her previous role as Regional Manager saw her manage large-scale, big-budget recruitment projects across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
She says since her move to Australia six years ago, VP has been on her radar.
“I first approached VP three years ago as they had a strong name in the industry. They had a position available, however, I felt I needed to increase my experience in the Newcastle market before I could come onboard.”
The timing was right in 2020, and Lotte jumped at the opportunity to reconnect with Verve Partners.
“I was blown away by Clare from the moment I first saw her at a speaking engagement years ago, both by her business acumen and her courage to set up their own business. I always wanted to work with people I was inspired by and can aspire to be.”
She says her decision to join the VP team was motivated by the opportunity to work with Clare.
“She is a driven, professional leader. She reflects who I want to be and what I want to stand for. She is so professional and on the ball; I hope I match her ethos.”

Lotte’s working experience catered to relationship-building in the education, commercial and blue-collar sectors. She says she was always told she had too much personality to be in any other role.
“I love being a recruiter. You’re not stuck behind a desk; you get to go out and meet people. I actually did one of my biggest deals in a Bangkok strip club.”
As Recruitment Manager, Lotte will focus on recruitment in engineering while also growing the Verve Partners client portfolio with assistance from Business Manager, Krystle Parker. She hopes to marry her passion, personality, professionalism and Newcastle knowledge to find pockets of new business.
